Carb One is also built on the successful Kona One-design. The two boards have the same measures. The difference is in the material used. Carb One is constructed using carbon, also in the dagger board, which makes it lighter and faster but also priced at a different level. The mast track is adjustable, which enables the waterline to be shortened when planning making jibing even easier. No compromises have been made when developing this top class board for high performance sailing outside the racing arena, not being class legal as a one design board.
Carb One is delivered without any fin. However, we recommend a G10 48 cm fin.
12.5kg (+/-6%) (hull only)
Crafted with carbon fibre, the Kona CarbOne is a beautiful board for the discerning windsurfer. It boasts all the features that windsurfers love about the Kona One but takes the concept one step further to deliver faster speeds and greater responsiveness for an unbeatable experience on the water.
The CarbOne is a natural progression for any windsurfer fond of the Kona One but wanting something a little faster, more unique and with extra budget to spend. Because it uses the very same design as the Kona One you still get all the features you’ve come to appreciate: the raised nose, stepped tail, wide profile and long fin.
Being made with carbon fibre, a very light but hard and durable material, the CarbOne weighs less the Kona One so it sits higher in the water, creating less drag as it glides along. And less drag means you can achieve a higher speed and handling becomes even easier than it was before.
Although you’d get one of the coolest windsurfing boards available, you can’t race officially within the Kona One Class. Its superior performance puts it into a league of its own and gives you an unfair advantage. Luckily there are some open class races in which you can enjoy an edge over the competition.
