No one was even close to touch former PWA-racer (windsurfing pro tour) Tim
Aagesen from Denmark. His record after finished racing was 1
-2-1-8-1-2-1-1-1-(15)-1-(DNF). He took the Kona-board to whole new level in
terms of speed.
We were delighted when Tim Aagesen decided to join the Kona One-class. Being a
world class windsurfer he is a great inspiration to the rest of the racers, says
Steen Buck Hansen head of the race organization.
Just as last in years championships in Miami the young Swede Adam Holm (18 year
sail is used in all conditions and sizes are according to body weights to ensure
old) won the silver medal. His tactical skills and few mistakes took him all the
way to the podium ahead of Joachim Larsson (SWE) finishing third.
The World Championships were held in Danish Nivaa. More than 60 sailors from
three continents and countries such as China, Slovenia and USA competed.
