The first China Open - a big succes
October 22nd. 2011. Aloha Beach Club, Shenzhen China
With 18 competitors from three main clubs in China, the first official Chinese Kona Cup took off in steady winds from 8 to 10 knots.

We did simple beach starts and sailed in heats, which worked very well. Great after sailing BB’q party as well. I believe this class has a big future in China, so much more to come,- and perhaps in the near future we will have the honor to host a big international event. A tribute goes to our oldest competitor Wang Bob at the age of 65. It is amazing to see how versatile the Kona class is, attracting sailors of all ages and skill levels.
